Calcium in Invertebrate Prey
In most invertebrate species, calcium is inadequate (less than 0.5 mg/kal). Those insects that do contain more calcium have calcified exoskeletons and will generally not be accepted for consumption. Whether commercial or wild-caught, invertebrate prey will require calcium supplementation.
