JurassiDiet™ Newt & Aquatic Frog Formula
JurassiDiet™ is THE premium food for newts and aquatic frogs. It contains only the highest quality ingredients without low nutritional value fillers like soy or corn meal, which can impair calcium absorption. It contains a broad spectrum of all the important components needed in a newt and aquatic frog diet: protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. JurassiDiet™ also contains probiotics, which reduce waste, benefit nutrient uptake and the immune system.
The Ca : P ratio should be no less than 1.2 : 1 , and is ideally maintained from 2 : 1 up to 8 : 1 depending on the species; but competing foods contain at least one of the following poor calcium sources: corn, wheat, or soy. Corn has a Ca : P ratio of 1 : 33, wheat has a Ca : P ratio of 1 : 10, and soy has a Ca : P ratio of 1 : 2.5. Furthermore, not only are corn, wheat, and soy not beneficial, they are actually harmful to your animals. They contain oxalates and phytates, which bind to calcium, thus preventing the calcium from being utilized. JurassiDiet™ distinguishes itself from the competitors by employing a calcium rich base, alfalfa. Alfalfa has a Ca : P ratio of 6 : 1.

Feed daily as much food as the animal will consume in one feeding (1 hour). If extra food remains, then feed less. If all the food is consumed, increase amount daily until extra food remains.

Does the JurassiDiet Newt & Aquatic Frog food float or sink?
A: It is a floating pellet; however, once it is saturated it will sink.
In the feeding instructions for your newt food it doesn't state wether to put the food in a shallow bowl or to just sprinkle on a rock or something? Can you please clarify this for me. Thank you very much.
A: This food can be fed either way. If you choose to feed it in a shallow bowl, I recommend to wet the food prior to feeding. Newts will accept food in and out of water. Feeding this food in the water part of the terrarium/aquarium is the most common practice and is readily accepted by newts.
